DESCRIPTION

Gastrin-1, human is a 17-amino acid peptide hormone primarily produced by gastric G cells in the antrum of the stomach and duodenum, playing a central role in regulating gastric acid secretion and mucosal growth. As a key regulator of the digestive system, it binds to cholecystokinin B (CCK-B) receptors on parietal cells to stimulate hydrochloric acid production and on enterochromaffin-like cells to promote histamine release, enhancing digestive function.
