DESCRIPTION

[Tyr0]-Neurokinin B is an 11-residue analog containing an additional N-terminal tyrosine before the complete Neurokinin B sequence. The resulting sequence is Tyr-Asp-Met-His-Asp-Phe-Phe-Val-Gly-Leu-Met-NH₂.

A Tyr Residue Added without Removing Native NKB Sequence

The complete ten-residue NKB sequence remains intact at positions 1-10 of the original ligand. Tyr0 is introduced as an extra residue before Asp1.

This is distinct from a point-mutated NKB analog because no native residue is replaced.
